Finance Builder AI is not regulated by the FCA. Features described are analytical and informational tools only — not financial advice. Results depend on the accuracy of data you provide.

Six features. One clear picture of your spending.

Each feature in Finance Builder AI was designed to answer a question people actually have. Not to show off what AI can do — to make your money make more sense.

AI expense analysis

Upload a CSV export from your bank, or paste your transactions manually. Finance Builder AI reads the data and automatically places each transaction into a category — without you having to tag anything yourself.

Categories are based on standard UK spending types: housing, groceries, transport, eating out, entertainment, subscriptions, and so on. You can rename categories or create custom ones to reflect how you actually spend.

The AI also looks for patterns across categories — not just totals. If your subscription spend increased gradually over six months, it will flag that even if no single charge looks unusual.

Results depend on the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter. Finance Builder AI cannot verify whether transaction data is accurate or complete.

What you can do with it

  • Upload CSV from Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, and most UK banks
  • Auto-categorisation with no manual tagging required
  • Custom category creation and renaming
  • Pattern detection across months, not just single-month totals

What a monthly spending report includes

  • Total income and total outgoing (if income data provided)
  • Category-level breakdown with percentages
  • Month-on-month comparison for each category
  • Flagged items for review
  • Plain-language AI summary of the month

Monthly spending report

At the end of each month, Finance Builder AI generates a structured spending report. Not a raw data export — an actual readable document that summarises what happened with your money.

Reports are designed to be scanned in two minutes or read in full in ten. The format is consistent month to month, so it is easy to compare and track your own progress over time.

You can download the report as a PDF or view it in the dashboard. Reports are stored in your account history so you can refer back to previous months.

Everything else Finance Builder AI does

Smart spending recommendations

AI-generated observations based on your specific data. Not generic financial tips — things like: your food delivery spend increased by 32% versus last month, or you appear to have three active streaming subscriptions. What you do with this is up to you.

Budget efficiency score

A single 0–100 score that reflects how your spending compares to an estimated efficient budget for your category mix. It is useful as a personal benchmark — tracking your own trend month to month — rather than a measure against others.

Spending category breakdowns

Visual charts and tables showing your spend by category for any period. You can view a single month, a quarter, or the full history you have uploaded. Export-friendly for anyone who also uses a spreadsheet.

Financial health dashboard

An ongoing summary view: monthly averages, trend lines, recurring costs, and optional savings rate tracking. The dashboard updates automatically as you add data. No manual calculations required.
